Purpose
Chemical cleaning is performed by circulating chemicals in an installation so that they create a chemical reaction with contaminants and dissolve them.
Execution
Altena Cleaning B.V. has various pump sets and products for performing chemical cleaning, depending on the type and extent of contamination. Our engineers have been trained internally and externally (as Chemical Technical Operators) to carry out this work safely and properly. After setting up the equipment, the first step is to pump water through the installation to check for leaks before cleaning starts. Chemicals are then added to the water to allow the right kind of chemical cleaning. The choice of chemicals depends on a prior laboratory analysis. While chemical cleaning is in progress, our field laboratory will perform measurements to check the result and progress of the work so as to deliver a good end-result. The initial cleaning water and rinsing water containing the contamination and residual product of the cleaning agents will be captured and taken to our processing installation.
