Purpose
An air conditioning unit needs to be properly maintained so as to extend its service life. Simply replacing the filters and cleaning the unit will not be sufficient in many cases. Dirty and damp outside air adversely affect the unit by causing corrosion and bacteria. This will reduce the unit’s capacity and efficiency. Altena Cleaning B.V. offers you the possibility to improve the status of your air conditioning units. We can clean, renovate and even replace them for you if necessary.
Inspection
We will be pleased to visit you to inspect your air conditioning units. This will enable us to give you an accurate report on their status. As part of the status report we will indicate possibilities for renovating and/or replacing the units.
Cleaning and disinfecting air conditioning units
Altena will precision-clean your air conditioning units by means of high-pressure water and chemicals. This will remove all the accumulated contaminants. Heat exchangers will be chemically cleaned to restore their efficiency. Contamination and bacteria will be removed from ceilings, walls and floors. This assures you of a clean unit. Doing this in good time and regularly will prevent the growth of bacteria and other contaminants affecting your employees via air ducts.
Coating of air conditioning unit
We have special coatings for use in air conditioning units. Our well-known Alucoat®507 will be used to coat the unit’s heat exchangers. For the floors we use our Gietcoat®GC3 and the other parts will be coated with Alumat®. To minimise smells we can install for you a separate extractor ventilator with active carbon to reduce odour in the building.
Renovating of air conditioning units
Altena Cleaning B.V. has more than 30 years’ experience of renovating all makes of air conditioning units. Our R&D department is continually enhancing the renovation of units. We always come up with the best solution to every unique problem. For example, we increasingly find that coating may no longer be applied when renovating units because of the smell. To overcome this we have developed special internal sheeting for renovating the walls of air conditioning units without the need for coating (and thus without smells). The sheeting is fitted over the existing insulation and panelling to create smoothly-finished ceilings, walls and floors. Altena Cleaning B.V. can even give you a warranty of more than 10 years on this sheeting. We can also replace or renovate all parts in the units. Altena Cleaning B.V. is the specialist to contact for work of this kind. We replace ventilators, V belts, V belt discs, ventilator/motor bearings, motors, heat exchangers, heat wheels, drip catchers, humidifiers, filter frames and so on.
Replacement parts
If your air conditioning unit no longer meets your requirements because parts are in such a poor condition that they must be replaced or because you need to integrate new parts with different functions (such as humidifier parts or extra cooler parts), Altena Cleaning B.V. will take care of this work for you. With our special plastic Global-Line® panels, we can build complete parts suitable for any use in any Unit. Complete compressor/filter parts can be replaced. Vapour parts will be built between the unit parts or extra coolers will be installed in the existing unit. You don't need to ask the unit’s supplier to do this for you, because Altena Cleaning B.V. offers an appropriate solution for every brand.
